Asiri Medical Hospital Antenatal Programme

A 4-week programme, every 2nd Saturday 8.30am - 1pm

Training Room, 2nd floor, Asiri Medical Hospital

The curriculum is presented in 4 sections

Session 01

• Pregnancy, postpartum psychological changes and the need for assistance.
• Antenatal care
• Sexual health and family planning, supporting the partner.

Session 02

• Vaccination schedule, newborn care, and significant infant milestones.
• Early childhood infections, identifying development deficits and other abnormalities.
• Demonstration on breastfeeding positions, newborn bathing techniques, holding and burping techniques, umbilical cord care, injection site care, etc.

Session 03

• Nutrition for a healthier baby, feeding the infant, and weaning.
• Sexual well-being and supporting the partner.

Session 04

• Exercises for expectant and postpartum mothers with demonstrations.

Asiri Medical Hospital Baby Delivery Package Details*

Normal Delivery – Maximum of 2 days hospital stay

Caesarean Section, Spinal Anaesthesia – Maximum of 2 days hospital stay

• Theater supplies and medications
• Operating theatre and procedure charges
• Procedures in the ward and surgical supplies
• Resident medical officer
• General nursing services
• Costs of administration

Caesarean Section, General Anaesthesia – Maximum of 2 days hospital stay

• Room fees (VAT included, non-air-conditioned room)
• Theatre supplies and medications
• Operating theatre and procedure charges
• Procedures in the ward and surgical supplies
• Resident medical officer
• Resident medical officer
• General nursing services

The following is not included in the package prices:

• Blood and blood products
• Further laboratory testing
• Intravenous antibiotics as well as other drugs (pre- and post-surgery)
• Additional meals and laundry services
• US, CT, and MRI scans
• The costs associated with visiting specialists (only hospital costs are covered)

Please note,

• Patients need to decide if they would opt for a ‘Baby Delivery Package’ or a standard admission at the point of admission, as a change will not be accommodated after admission.
• The ‘Baby Delivery Packages’ are heavily discounted, therefore no further discounts such as credit card offers, Amazing Care rewards, etc. can be applied to these prices.
