People Priorities

At Asiri Health we are often called on to serve people when they are at their most vulnerable – both physically and emotionally. To provide them with the highest levels of medical care we focus on recognising, rewarding and retaining our most prized asset – Our People.

Our people priorities are three-pronged:

  • Quality focus through people engagement – nurturing motivated employees who are keen to further the hospital's goals and interests
  • Performance culture through accountability – maintaining a systematic approach to managing our people in order to implement, promote and sustain a high-performance culture
  • Building capacity - developing and strengthening the skills abilities, processes and resources needed to provide outstanding patient care

We also invest in world-class processes to ensure a safe and efficient working environment for our employees.

HR Values

Our goal is to create a competitive edge by encouraging the right values and nurturing a dedicated and knowledgeable workforce. Our Human Resources division continues to work with commitment, camaraderie and creativity to build and maintain our HR processes on par with the best international practices.

Our HR team takes pride in being the only Human Resources function to have obtained the ISO 9001 – 2008 Quality Management Certification especially in the healthcare sector. Learning for Improving Results

At Asiri Health we ensure that all learning programmes are designed to facilitate the organisation’s key goals of:

  • Becoming a centre of healthcare excellence
  • Strengthening our patient care capabilities
  • Improving our medical expertise
  • Ensuring superior hospital operations at all times

For this reason each employee’s learning goals and results are tied to the needs of the unit which, in turn, are aligned with the goals, needs and desired results of the organisation for that particular reporting period. This helps employees understand the organisation’s expectations from their job roles.

We encourage this type of learning through on-the-job training which provides employees with hands-on experience.

Each employee’s learning plan is also equipped with technical learning modules. Successful employees are nominated for more advanced technical training depending on their requirement.

Employee competencies are also developed with the active guidance and coaching of supervisors.

Learning for Career Development

At Asiri Health we take each employee’s career aspirations very seriously. Supervisors sit down with each employee and together they identify a career path for the staff member. Then a multi-year training plan is put in place to ensure that the employee’s career plan advances progressively. All employees are encouraged and provided with every opportunity to ascend in their chosen career path if they prove themselves to be competent. Our Human Resources department has identified the building of employee competencies as one of the organisation’s key deliverables. To achieve this goal, the Heads of each Section or Department have been empowered to guide and support employees in their professional development by offering learning opportunities, creating professional development protocols and providing coaching and feedback. The HR department facilitates requirements from the various divisions to make these efforts successful.

Recreational Activities

Our employees come together as one big family during the various recreational activities that take place throughout the year. These events are an opportunity for inter-departmental camaraderie at every level. Some of the recreational activities that our people look forward to are:
