Asiri Health Cares for Employees

On 15th May 2016, Sri Lanka was hit by the severe tropical storm ‘Roanu’ that caused widespread flooding and landslides around the country  in 22 districts destroying homes and submerging entire villages. As a result of the floods, many people have been displaced from their homes and have moved to safe locations, including camps as well as schools, temples, community centres, with host families or in other temporary accommodation.

Asiri Health stepped forward being in line with its Group Values “to care for the employees “ with this initiative to care for our own staff who were affected with floods. Three teams, each comprised of Medical Officers, senior nursing staff, administrators and many others visited affected employees in Colombo, Wellampitiya - Kotikawatte and Kaduwela areas and suburbs, whilst being constantly in touch with them to obtain their current requirements and needs. These teams visited the homes & temporary accommodation of affected staff members and provided financial and medical assistance needed while arrangements were been made to distribute provisions of dry rations and other necessities.

Asiri Health wishes to ensure that as a responsible employer, it will always support and stand beside its staff members in their most difficult times.

These are a few moments captured during the visits :
