Badulla is the capital city of the Uva Province and Badulla District.
Badulla has a rich history with evidence of being the habitat of civilized communities before the rule of King Vijaya, our Island’s first king. It is an agricultural district where tea, vegetable and paddy are cultivated and is today home to 47,587 people. The opening of this new laboratory helps Asiri serve the citizens of the entire Uva region while also covering parts of the Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces.
