The Medical Research Institute has assessed the Asiri Laboratory Microbiology Department as the top rated medical laboratory in Sri Lanka for the second year in succession, in 2015. The Department of Bacteriology at the MRI annually examines all the medical laboratories in the country, both private and government, and has ranked the Asiri Lab as No.1.
